Animania  Welcome to the world of cosplay. I had no idea how deep the rabbit hole went until I worked at Animania, a festival held once a year in Sydney at which people dress up as their favorite anime character and celebrate Japanese pop culture. I was impressed both by the effort that people had put into their costumes and at how serious some were at trying to embody the essence of their favorite character. Respect. I enjoyed the spectacle with an open mind. I’m totally down for chicks in costume so I had no trouble keeping myself entertained for the two days I was here. Oh and I like anime, it’s fucking wicked.
